Brett Potts
At the back of my Nan’s was a BMX track and they knocked that away

I’m 14 years old and I go to school at Sarah Redfern High School. My people are Dungadi. They’re from up Kempsey way, on the coast.

My happiest memories of Minto are scoring 11 tries for the Minto Cobras. I’ve made a couple of rep teams. I’d like to play football for the big league, for the Panthers. I’ve got to train real hard and play real good to get selected.

My greatest achievement was making it into Western Suburbs Juniors. It was good playing for them. I scored two tries.

My best mates are Carl and Reynold. I play football with them. I grew up in Minto. What I like best about Minto is all my mates are here.

I don’t like how they’re building all the new houses because at the back of my Nan’s was a BMX track and they knocked that away. Where the mall is and the new houses, there was a big paddock, they should have left that. In the future, I’m going to stay in Minto because I grew up here and I don’t feel like moving anywhere else.
