Kids Community Park

Kids Community Park is the place the Minto community goes for family fun days, to find trash and treasure, sing carols by candlelight, parade their Easter hats, check in their rubbish on Clean Up Australia day, spook each other silly on Halloween and, of course, to play with their kids. In July 2000 the park was threatened by developers who had approval to build nine townhouses on the land. The community was outraged and quickly formed the Save Kids Community Park Group. This group lobbied and protested until the developers decided to donate the land to the Just Enough Faith Foundation (JEFF) to hold in trust for the community under the conditions that the land is used for purposes that directly benefit the residents of Minto. JEFF sold the park to Campbelltown Council for a nominal fee in 2006.
